सर्वद्वारेषु देहेऽस्मिन्प्रकाश उपजायते | ज्ञानं यदा तदा विद्याद्विवृद्धं सत्त्वमित्युत

sarva-dvāreṣu dehe 'smin prakāśa upajāyate | jñānaṃ yadā tadā vidyād vivṛddhaṃ sattvam ity uta

When illumination arises in all the gates of this body, then one should know that luminosity is predominant.

Sarva-dvāreṣu — in all gates — the sense organs and mind. When sattva predominates, perception becomes clear, the mind becomes lucid, knowledge arises.

Prakāśa — illumination — is the characteristic manifestation of sattva. This is not merely intellectual clarity but the light of consciousness shining unobstructed.

Jñānam yadā — when knowledge arises — indicates the sattvic state. The person recognizes this state and knows that sattva is dominant.
