असत्यमप्रतिष्ठं ते जगदाहुरनीश्वरम् | अपरस्परसम्भूतं किमन्यत्कामहैतुकम्

asatyam apratiṣṭhaṃ te jagad āhur anīśvaram | aparaspara-sambhūtaṃ kim anyat kāma-haitukam

Without truth, without foundation, they say the world is without Lord, produced by sexual union, and nothing more than the fruit of lust.

The materialist/nihilist view. The world is asatyam — not-true, illusory. Apratiṣṭham — without foundation, without ultimate basis. Anīśvaram — without Lord, without governing principle.

Origin: aparaspara-sambhūta — produced by the union of man and woman, mere sex. Kāma-haitukam — caused only by desire/lust (kāma), like animals. The asura denies purpose, order, transcendence.
