Vijñāna Yoga · Verse 21
यो यो यां यां तनुं भक्तः श्रद्धयार्चितुमिच्छति | तस्य तस्याचलां श्रद्धां तामेव विदधाम्यहम्
yo yo yāṃ yāṃ tanuṃ bhaktaḥ śraddhayārcitum icchati | tasya tasyācalāṃ śraddhāṃ tām eva vidadhāmy aham
Whatever devotee desires to worship with faith whatever form — I Myself strengthen his faith in that very form.
Principle of reciprocity: Kṛṣṇa responds to the bhakta according to his icchā (desire). If someone desires to worship a specific tanu (form), Kṛṣṇa vidadhāmi (establishes, strengthens) acalāṃ śraddhām — unwavering faith — tāmin eva — in that very form.
Faith is a divine response, not mere human effort. Kṛṣṇa respects the free will and desires of each soul.
