Tṛtīyopadeśaḥ (Mudrā) · Verse 23

ब्रह्मरन्ध्रं ततो भित्त्वा विष्णुस्थाने व्यवस्थितः | रुद्रस्थानं ततो भित्त्वा मूर्ध्नि देवं प्रपश्यति ||

brahmarandhraṃ tato bhittvā viṣṇusthāne vyavasthitaḥ | rudrasthānaṃ tato bhittvā mūrdhni devaṃ prapaśyati ||

The ascension process according to Mahāvedha: piercing successive centers — brahmarandhra, place of Viṣṇu (heart), place of Rudra (throat) — until reaching the crown.

This is a description of the awakening of kuṇḍalinī through the cakras. Each “piercing” is the opening of a blocked energy center.

“Sees the god” (devaṃ prapaśyati) describes the direct vision of divine reality that results. It is not belief or imagination; it is immediate experience.
