Praśna Upaniṣad · 6..4
तद्वै तत्साम्नोऽभिस्तव एष वः स्ताव इति सर्वाणि ह वा एतानि भूतान्यभिस्तुत्य साम्ना स्तुवन्ति स यस्तद्वेदयते यथाभिस्तुत्य साम्ना स्तूयते
tadvai tatsāmno'bhistava eṣa vaḥ stāva iti sarvāṇi ha vā etāni bhūtānyabhistutya sāmnā stuvanti sa yastadvedayate yathābhistutya sāmnā stūyate
That, verily, is the praise of the Sāman: “Let him praise us”. All these beings, being praised, praise the Sāman. Whoever knows this, knows how, being praised, the Sāman is praised.
The relationship is reciprocal: beings are praised by Prāṇa (for they exist) and, by existing, praise Prāṇa. Existence itself is praise.
Abhistava — the praise that comes toward one. Stava — the praise that one offers. There is a continuous exchange of praise between Prāṇa and beings.
The knower understands this play of mirrors: by praising, one is praised; by existing, one glorifies existence itself.
For the yogī: the practice is a continuous stava. Each āsana, each prāṇāyāma, each dhāraṇā is an offering of praise to the Supreme Self. And in return, one receives the grace of illuminated existence.
