Dhyāna Dhāraṇā · Dhāraṇā 105

स्वदेहे जगतो वापि सूक्ष्मसूक्ष्मतराणि च । तत्त्वानि यानि निलयं ध्यात्वान्ते व्यज्यते परा ॥

svadehe jagato vāpi sūkṣmasūkṣmatarāṇi ca | tattvāni yāni nilayaṃ dhyātvānte vyajyate parā ||

The ever subtler tattvas in the own body or in the universe — meditating on their dissolution, finally the Supreme manifests.

Hundred-fifth dhāraṇā. Progressive dissolution of tattvas. Sūkṣmasūkṣmatarāṇi — ever subtler. From the gross body to elements, from elements to tanmātras, from tanmātras to internal senses, from there to buddhi, from buddhi to prakṛti, from prakṛti to puruṣa.

Nilayaṃ dhyātvā — meditating on their dissolution, their rest, their return to origin. Each level absorbs into the previous. The dense into the subtle. The subtle into the subtler. The subtler into void.

Ante vyajyate parā — finally the Supreme manifests. Parā — the supreme reality, feminine. Śakti in her highest form. When all tattvas have dissolved, nothing remains. And that nothing is absolute fullness. The Supreme does not appear at the end of a chain. She appears when the entire chain disappears.
