खेचरी
Khechari
mudraSeal that moves in space (kha). A mudrā involving the progressive cutting and stretching of the lingual frenulum, allowing the tongue to be drawn back into the nasopharyngeal cavity. The Haṭha Pradīpikā (3.32-53) considers it the most important of all mudrās, as it grants access to amṛta (nectar of immortality) and arrests the decay of the body. Its mastery is associated with the activation of [[vishuddhi]] and the transcendence of disease.
