Janaka denies ownership of the body (deha), the life forces (prāṇa), the intellect (buddhi), and the mind (manas). All these are products of ignorance, not of the Self. In chapter 2 this verse returns to the foundational neti neti method: not this, not this. What remains when every layer of embodiment is refused is the witness (sākṣī), the Supreme Consciousness (parā caitanya), eternally free.
