Chapter 3 · Verse 11

न मे देहो न मे प्राणा न बुद्धिर्न च मानसम्

na me deho na me prāṇā na buddhir na ca mānasam

The disciple denies ownership of every layer of embodiment: the body (deha), the life-force (prāṇa), the intellect (buddhi), and the mind (manas). In the context of chapter 3, this is not a list of possessions to renounce but a recognition that the entire person is a construct produced by avidyā (ignorance). The ātman is prior to and untouched by all of these; it is the single awareness in which they appear and from which they borrow their seeming reality. Freedom is the clear seeing that none of them is “I.”
