For the realized one there is no virtue, no vice, no liberation as an attainment, no heaven, no other state. No condition anywhere binds him. In chapter 8 this applies to praise and blame: the jīva may be lauded or condemned, but the Ātman remains untouched by either. Moral categories belong to the play of name and form, not to the Self that transcends them.
