अहिंसा समता तुष्टिस्तपो दानं यशोऽयशः | भवन्ति भावा भूतानां मत्त एव पृथग्विधाः

ahiṃsā samatā tuṣṭis tapo dānaṃ yaśo 'yaśaḥ | bhavanti bhāvā bhūtānāṃ matta eva pṛthag-vidhāḥ

Nonviolence, equanimity, satisfaction, austerity, charity, fame and infamy — these various dispositions of beings come from Me alone.

Ahiṃsā — nonviolence, non-harming — is the basis of all virtue. Samatā — equanimity, equality before dualities. Tuṣṭiḥ — contentment, inner satisfaction.

Tapaḥ — austerity, spiritual heat that purifies. Dānam — charity, giving what one possesses. Yaśaḥ and ayaśaḥ — fame and infamy — show that even the apparently negative comes from the Lord.

Pṛthag-vidhāḥ — of various types — the bhāvāḥ (dispositions) vary according to the predominant guṇa of the devotee.
