Tṛtīyopadeśaḥ (Mudrā) · Verse 38
खेचरीमुद्रया योगी चन्द्रं पश्यति निश्चितम् | ततोऽमृतं तु संगृह्य जीवेद्ब्रह्मपरायणः ||
khecarīmudrayā yogī candraṃ paśyati niścitam | tato'mṛtaṃ tu saṃgṛhya jīved brahmaparāyaṇaḥ ||
The “moon” (candra) refers to the bindu visarga at the crown, the center that drips nectar. Seeing this inner moon is a sign of advanced progress.
“Having collected the nectar” — Khecarī allows capturing and absorbing the amṛta that would normally be lost. The yogi nourishes himself with this divine essence.
“Lives dedicated to Brahman” (brahma-parāyaṇaḥ). Sustained practice transforms not only the state of consciousness but the way of life. Everything is oriented toward the divine.
