Tṛtīyopadeśaḥ (Mudrā) · Verse 41

Final verse of Khecarī mudrā, identical to 3-37. The complete description occupies 21 verses, more than any other technique in the text.

The vision of the brahmarandhra and the knowledge of Brahman are the culminating result. Everything previous — health, longevity, powers — is preparation for this.

For the modern practitioner, “gentle” Khecarī (touching the palate where the tongue naturally reaches) is still an extremely valuable practice. Constancy is more important than extreme intensity.
