By cosmic order, by one’s own law, by truth, by dharma, by austerity — he who knows the Unknowable, that Brahman discovers.
The means for realization and the mystery of the known-unknown.
Ṛtam — cosmic order, universal law. Living in harmony with the totality.
Svadhayā — by one’s own law, innate nature. Fulfilling one’s own dharma.
Satyā — by truth. Rectitude, honesty, authenticity.
Dharmeṇa — by dharma. The ethical, social and cosmic order.
Tapasā — by austerity. Rigorous practice, the heat of transformation.
Anuvavindet — discovers, finds. Realization as discovery, not creation.
Na-ciketa — the unknowable, what cannot be known objectively. Brahman beyond dual knowledge.
Ya āciketa — who knows. He who penetrates this mystery.
Dharma lived, tapas practiced, unveil the ineffable.
