Brahman is all this, spread through reflection, adorable, excellent for humans, propitious. Whoever knows It transcends death; no other path is there for going there.
The totality of Brahman and the exclusivity of the path of knowledge.
Brahma idaṃ sarvam — Brahman is all this. The non-dual vision, the essential identity.
Visṛtam manīṣā — spread through reflection. Wisdom as means of revelation.
Vareṇyam — adorable, worthy of adoration. That toward which everything is directed.
Nṛṇām abhyeti saumyam — excellent for humans, propitious. Accessible through grace.
Taṃ yo veda — whoever knows It. Knowledge as the only valid means.
Sa mṛtyum ātyeti — transcends death. Not avoids but surpasses, transcends.
Nānyaḥ panthā vidyate — no other path exists. The exclusivity of jñāna-mārga for final liberation.
Ritual has value, but only knowledge definitively liberates from saṃsāra.
