Siddha
conceptoPerfected, accomplished. One who has attained siddhi. In the Nāth tradition, the 84 siddhas are masters who mastered yoga and inner alchemy. Matsyendranāth and Gorakṣanāth are the most prominent.
In the Śiva Saṃhitā, the siddha is the yogi who has transcended body and death. In the Haṭha Pradīpikā, siddhāsana bears their name because it was the posture of the perfected ones. See siddhi, yogi.
