Sixty-first dhāraṇā. Yaḥ kaścit — whoever it may be. Dhvanirūpābhyām — through vibration and form. Every sound has these two dimensions: the vibration (dhvani) which is its subtle aspect, and the form (rūpa) which is its perceptible aspect.

Śabdasandhau — in the junction, in the meeting point of sounds. Where one sound ends and another begins. Or where vibration and form unify in pure sound perception.

Manodhvaṃsaḥ śāntabhāvaṃ prapadyate — the destruction of mind attains the state of peace. Dhvaṃsa is destruction, collapse. It sounds violent. It is not. It is the collapse of ordinary mental structure — categories, judgments, comparisons — that reveals the peace (śānta) that was always underneath.
