आधारेष्वथवाशक्त्यावज्ञानात्चित्तलयेन वा । जातशक्तिसमावेशक्षोभान्ते भैरवं वपुः ॥
ādhāreṣv athavā śaktyā ajñānāc cittalayena vā | jātaśaktisamāveśakṣobhānte bhairavaṃ vapuḥ ||
In the supports, or by śakti, or by dissolution of mind in ignorance — at the end of the agitation of absorption in arisen śakti, the form of Bhairava.
Hundred-eleventh dhāraṇā. The multiple paths converge. Ādhāreṣu — in the supports of meditation (all the previous techniques). Athavā śaktyā — or by śakti directly, without technique. Ajñānāt — from non-mind, from not-knowing. Cittalayena vā — or by spontaneous dissolution of mind.
Bhairava enumerates the possible ways not as options but as aspects of a single movement. Technique, grace, sacred ignorance, dissolution — all lead to the same place.
Jātaśaktisamāveśakṣobhānte bhairavaṃ vapuḥ — at the end of the agitation produced by absorption in arisen śakti, the form of Bhairava. Śakti shakes the practitioner. Agitates them. Destroys them. And when the agitation ceases — not before — Bhairava appears. Silent. Motionless. The calm after the storm. That is what you are.
