Mokṣa-Sannyāsa Yoga · Verse 34
यया तु धर्मकामार्थान्धृत्या धारयतेऽर्जुन | प्रसङ्गेन फलाकाङ्क्षी धृतिः सा पार्थ राजसी
yayā tu dharma-kāma-arthān dhṛtyā dhārayate 'rjuna | prasaṅgena phalākāṅkṣī dhṛtiḥ sā pārtha rājasī
But the constancy by which one sustains the objects of dharma, pleasure and wealth, with attachment, desiring fruits — that constancy is rājasic, oh Pārtha.
Rājasic constancy: objects are dharma, kāma, artha — the three material puruṣārthas (human ends).
Prasaṅgena — with attachment, with emotional connection. Phalākāṅkṣī — desiring fruits. It is selfish determination, toward personal goals.
