Laukika Dhāraṇā · Dhāraṇā 73

क्षुतरेखाक्षणे भूयो निराधारां मनः स्थितिम् । भावयन्भैरवं रूपमनुभूयात्ततः शिवम् ॥

kṣutarekhākṣaṇe bhūyo nirādhārāṃ manaḥ sthitim | bhāvayan bhairavaṃ rūpam anubhūyāt tataḥ śivam ||

At the instant of the sneeze, contemplating the unsupported state of mind, visualizing the form of Bhairava, Śiva is experienced.

Seventy-third dhāraṇā. The sneeze as mystical doorway. Sounds absurd. It is not. Kṣutarekhākṣaṇe — at the exact instant of the sneeze. That microsecond where the entire body shakes and the mind becomes completely blank.

Nirādhārāṃ manaḥ sthitim — the mental state without support, without prop, without object. During the sneeze the mind has nowhere to hold. It is an involuntary void. A forced nirvikalpa by the body.

Bhairava says: use this. Bhāvayan bhairavaṃ rūpam — contemplate the form of Bhairava in that instant. Not after. During. Obviously requires practice. But the teaching is profound: awakening is not only in sublime states. It is in a sneeze. In any moment where the mind loses its habitual control.
