Seventy-eighth technique. The sacred hum. Oṃkārādisamuccāram — pronouncing Oṃ and similar sounds. But the key is antaḥpraviśataḥ — entering within. Not the external sound but its inner echo. When you stop pronouncing and listen where the sound goes.

Śūnyabhāvena — with the attitude of void. Not trying to fill the following silence with more sound or more thought. Let the void be void. Śūnyātmā — being void. Not observing the void from outside but being the void itself.

So ‘mṛtam — that one attains the immortal. Amṛta — what does not die. The void is not born nor does it die. If you are the void, you are not born nor do you die. Immortality is not infinite duration in time. It is discovering what is completely outside time.
